Coping strategies like worry and avoidance may feel instinctive, but they tend to be both harmful and ineffective. To address anxiety in a healthy manner, itโ€™s essential to focus on the emotions fueling our thoughts.

Emotional granularityโ€”a skill that allows us to pinpoint and understand the specific feelings weโ€™re experiencingโ€”can offer valuable insight into the roots of our emotions, helping us navigate them more effectively.
